Our successful opposition against YOGA ALLIANCE PTY LTD
Our Partner and Trademark Attorney, Riina Pärn, has successfully opposed the Estonian trademark application ’YOGA ALLIANCE INTERNATIONAL (logo)’ Appl. No. M202000969 in class 41 filed by YOGA ALLIANCE PTY LTD on September 22, 2020 in the following figurative form (‘Opposed mark’):
On October 29, 2020, the Estonian Industrial Property Board of Appeals (‘Board of Appeals’) passed the decision No. 2002-o upholding the filed opposition and refusing from the registration of the Opposed mark in Estonia. The named decision was passed based on the confusing similarity ground between the comparable trademarks and based on the prior reputed trademark ground.
The named decision of the Board of Appeals has become effective and the Opposed mark is refused from the registration now in Estonia (see PTO’s database here).
